A new wellness-focused property is bringing new event space to Redmond, OR. The New Hotel Redmond by SCP, opening this year, will be the second property for Soul Community Planet, a San Clemente, CA,-based holistic hospitality brand that focuses on positive community practices.
The new, 49-room hotel will be set in an historic building in the city center, which will undergo a $7 million renovation before opening. In August, the hotel will open The Rooftop, a 1,500-square-foot rooftop social garden, restaurant and bar that provides views of the Cascade Range and a locally inspired small plate menu, along with cocktails incorporating herbs grown organically in the venue’s gardens. The rooftop space will be available for private buyouts.
The rest of the hotel, including SCP Commons, the property’s creative co-working and social space, and the SCP Provisions market, will open in the fall. In addition to the rooftop, private events can also be held in the 2,000-square-foot SCP Fit Flex wellness space, which will also host health and wellness group classes, mat Pilates, yoga, spin and Peloton bikes. The SCP Commons will also have two conference rooms for meetings, in addition to a main room for up to 30 that serves as a co-working space.
All of the 49 guestrooms and suites will be on the second and third floors. Each room will have Outback-focused artwork in line with the brand’s regional sensibility, while fitness-focused suites will have TRX hardware.
The New Redmond Hotel by SCP will be set at the intersection of two major travel arteries in the city center, accessible from the regional Redmond Municipal Airport.
