The Hilton Chicago Northbrook on Chicago’s North Shore just wrapped the first phase of a major renovation project that included its 20,000 square feet of meeting and event space. The revamped meeting and event spaces now have new carpeting, modern wallpaper, and contemporary finished light fixtures, as well as electronic reader boards and door signs. Additionally, the Grand Ballroom now has an upgraded sound and lighting system. All told, the 249-room property has 18 breakout spaces and can accommodate up to 1,300 guests.
The guest rooms were also refreshed with new carpeting, furniture, smart TVs and upgraded lighting. Additionally, all rooms are equipped with complimentary Wi-Fi and multiple USB connections, giving the guest the ability to charge up to 10 devices at a time.
Next up is phase two of the renovations, which will include a complete revamp of the property’s restaurants, Allgauer’s on the Riverfront and Frank’s Place.
Originally known as Allgauer’s Hotel, the property was constructed with just the East Tower in 1984. In 1988, the West Tower was built and the hotel joined the Holiday Inn Crown Plaza brand. In 1992, the property became a part of Hilton and was renamed to be Hilton Chicago Northbrook. Located in the heart of the North Shore, minutes away from O’Hare International Airport and downtown Chicago, the Hilton Chicago Northbrook is close to attractions including Northbrook Court, The Bahai Temple of Worship, Arlington Park Race Course, Kohl Children’s Museum, Chicago Botanic Garden, Ravinia Festival, and a variety of restaurants, entertainment venues, and shopping destinations.
