The Jamaica Tourist Board’s Groups & Conventions department is continuing its campaign to engage top North American meeting planners with recent events in Washington DC and Peapack, New Jersey. Designated “The Spirit of Jamaica,” this roadshow series is a continuation of August events held in Toronto and Montreal.
During the series, luncheon and dinner presentations were held for 80 planners at The Dupont Circle in Washington D.C and at Ninety Acres, a farm-to-table venue situated on the Natirar Estate New Jersey. Jamaica’s Ambassador to the United States, Her Excellency Audrey Marks, encouraged the planners to invest in Jamaica and further strengthen the vital connections between Jamaica and the US.
Presentations were given by Jamaica industry partners including Jamaica Tours Ltd., Montego Bay Convention Centre and Ocean Coral Spring by H10 Hotels, a property set to open December 10. Appleton Rum provided a taste of Jamaica, with a rum tasting session.
