The new Hard Rock Hotel Los Cabos is now officially open, bringing 60,000 square feet of new meeting and event space to the destination. The new, 639-room all-inclusive resort is the first of Hard Rock’s all-inclusives that is an entirely new build. It’s also the first property for the brand with swim-up suites.
The property has two indoor ballrooms: the Harmony Ballroom, which is divisible into six breakouts and can seat 1,188 banquet-style, and the Beat Ballroom, which is divisible into 10 breakouts, and can seat 288 for a banquet. Both have their own attached foyer. There is also an indoor Beat Patio, good for cocktail receptions of up to 300, which is connected to three smaller Jam spaces.
In terms of outdoor venues, there are three terraces: Serenade, Los Gallos and Muse. These can host cocktail receptions ranging from 250 to 1,100 people. Also available is the Coda Garden space, which can host cocktail receptions of up to 220.
The new resort also offers the brand’s signature music-themed amenities, including a “Rock Star Suite,” the Rock Spa, Body Rock fitness center and music memorabilia. Since the property is set within Cabo San Lucas’ Diamante development, guests also have access to three nearby golf courses designed by Davis Love III and Tiger Woods.
Also on property are five swim-up bars, six pools, water slides, eight a-la-carte dining options and three lounges: Sun Bar, Moon Lounge and Club Heaven. Entertainment options are also available for travelers of all ages, including designated family and adult-only areas, a bowling alley, and Hard Rock’s kids program, Hard Rock Roxity Kids Club.
Looking ahead, an official grand opening celebration is planned for October, complete with guitar smash. Also ahead for Los Cabos is Zadún, a Ritz-Carlton Reserve, which just opened reservations this week for stays beginning October 15. In November, The Ocean Course at Cabo del Sol is reopening after closing in May for renovations, and, later this year, the new Four Seasons Resort Los Cabos at Costa Palmas is set to open. 2021 will see the opening of the Park Hyatt Los Cabos, as well as the first Mexico property for Accor’s SO/ Hotels & Resorts lifestyle brand: the SO/ Los Cabos Hotel & Residences.
