Visit Oklahoma City (Visit OKC) has announced the addition of three new staff members to the team in order to support the sports and convention demand for the destination.
Visit OKC recently welcomed Lesley Patterson as director of convention sales. Previously, Patterson served as the director of membership at Montage Palmetto Bluff in South Carolina and as the director of guest services at the Gathering Place in Tulsa.
Blake Ruggs, who joined the team as sports sales manager, came to Visit OKC after working in Tulsa with Major League Fishing.
Lastly, Liv Cowan will serve as events services manager supporting sports and equine events. A recent graduate of Oklahoma State University, Cowan worked as the social responsibility coordinator at the YMCA of Greater OKC.
“OKC is a thriving destination for convention and sports business and our staff is scaling to keep pace as we book and service new and annual events,” said Visit OKC President Zac Craig. “We are excited to welcome these talented new team members at Visit Oklahoma City.”
