The Kuala Lumpur Convention Centre in Malaysia has appointed Tiffany Chung as its director of sales and marketing. In this role, Chung will be responsible for developing and implementing sales strategies, managing new product development, driving business development and revenue growth, overseeing marketing campaigns as well as talent development and management.
Chung brings a wealth of experience to this role, having held key positions in the business events industry for over 20 years. Most recently, she served as the venue’s deputy director of sales, where she successfully drove new business development, led sales teams and contributed to its overall growth. Chung joined the Kuala Lumpur Convention Centre in 2013 as exhibition floor manager following which she took on the role of exhibition sales manager before being promoted to the head of sales in 2017. Prior to that, she worked at the National Tech Association of Malaysia (PIKOM) and Reed Exhibitions.
Chung takes over from Ravindran Sathiamoorthy, who served as the Kuala Lumpur Convention Centre’s director of sales since 2020 and has retired after 18 years with the venue. “
Throughout Ravi’s tenure, which began with the Centre’s opening, he has played a pivotal role in the success of our convention center,” said John Burke, general manager of the Kuala Lumpur Convention Centre. "From his earlier roles within finance and administration through to his move to sales and marketing in 2018, Ravi has continually been driving business growth, and helping to create award-winning products.
