Loews Nashville Hotel at Vanderbilt Plaza has announced the promotion of Katelyn Goins to associate director of sales. The hotel has also welcomed Jamie Mortakis as its new senior catering sales manager.
Goins brings more than 12 years of experience in the hospitality industry into her elevated role as associate director of sales at Loews Nashville Hotel at Vanderbilt Plaza. Her primary responsibility is to secure meetings and events at the hotel. She will serve as the point of contact for national accounts, work in partnership with third-party meeting planners and support opportunities in collaboration with the Nashville Convention and Visitors Corporation. Additionally, Goins will represent Loews Nashville Hotel at industry trade shows and meetings.
Goins’ extensive knowledge of the city’s tourism industry is founded upon prior roles such as event manager for Nashville Marriott at Vanderbilt University, sales coordinator for Hyatt Place Nashville Downtown and guest service agent at the Union Station Hotel. She joined Loews Hotels in May 2018 as sales manager and successfully secured business throughout the healthcare, entertainment and local markets, before accelerating within the sales department to support group bookings based in the Midwest and West Coast.
In her new position as senior catering sales manager, Mortakis will oversee the planning and execution of events, collaborate with the culinary team to design thoughtful menus and build upon her client relationships.
Mortakis joins Loews Nashville Hotel with a track record of achievements in the hospitality sector. She most recently served as the associate director of catering and events at The Hermitage Hotel, where she was responsible for all catering sales. Prior to that, her tenure at Four Seasons Hotel Denver saw her rise through the ranks from reservations agent to group service manager, where she managed high-profile entertainment and sports groups.
