JW Marriott in San Antonio Strengthens Sales Team

The JW Marriott San Antonio Hill Country Resort & Spa has announced the promotion of Molly Horton to director of group sales and the appointment of Kaiti Tyler as the new associate director of sales.

In her new role, Horton will serve as the leader of all group sales efforts. Since 2021, Horton excelled as the associate director of group sales at the resort, making a significant impact by collaborating with teams handling small and intimate gatherings to mid-sized events and overseeing key accounts in the Texas market. She has been instrumental in managing relationships with some of the resort’s largest legacy clients, including the Valero Texas Open.

Before joining the JW Marriott San Antonio team, Horton served as the director of hotel sales at the Coralville Marriott Hotel and Conference Center in Coralville, IA. Her 20-year career with Marriott also includes roles with Marriott’s area, account, and property teams in the Midwest, solidifying her reputation as a seasoned leader in the hospitality sales industry.

The JW Marriott also welcomed Kaiti Tyler as the associate director of sales. In this position, Tyler will assist in leading the property’s sales efforts and implementing the sales strategy to reach the resort’s goals, focusing on groups 10-300, peak rooms.

With a career spanning more than 14 years at Marriott International, Tyler began her journey with the company as a restaurant supervisor at the Princeton Marriott. She then transitioned into sales, where she has thrived in a variety of roles, including area sales, account sales, and most recently as a sales leader within multi-hotel sales. Over the past three years as a sales leader, Tyler has successfully led multiple teams, surpassing goals and generating revenue for Marriott hotels across the Northeast

A short drive from San Antonio International Airport and downtown San Antonio, the resort encompasses 600 acres with an abundance of adventures and on-site activities. It has 1,002 recently renovated guestrooms, 10 dining options, two 18-hole PGA Tour golf courses, nine-acre River Bluff Water Experience, over 265,000 square feet of meeting and event space, and a full-service spa and wellness center.
