Hyatt Regency Maui Resort and Spa has announced the appointment of Jason Baer as director of sales and marketing. Baer has more than a decade of experience in the hospitality industry, and will oversee sales and marketing efforts to continue the success of the property in Lahaina.
“We are thrilled to welcome Jason to our leadership team as the director of sales and marketing,” said Fred Findlen, general manager at Hyatt Regency Maui Resort and Spa. “We look forward to seeing how his skills, expertise and leadership style will elevate the property as we continue to create new and heightened guest experiences to provide an unforgettable vacation or business trip.”
Prior to joining the resort located on 40 oceanfront acres along a three-mile stretch of the Ka’anapali Beach, Baer worked with various Hyatt properties throughout the West Coast in a range of sales leadership positions. Baer has served as the director of sales and marketing at Hyatt Regency Indian Wells Resort and Spa, and held various leadership positions at properties including the Grand Hyatt San Diego, Hyatt Regency Huntington Beach Resort and Spa, and Hyatt Regency San Francisco.

Baer studied at California State University, Long Beach where he earned bachelor’s degrees in business management and supply chain operations management. Prior to his transition into the hospitality industry, Baer worked in real estate and helped coach summer volleyball programs for children. In his free time, Baer enjoys spending time with his family as well as playing golf, beach volleyball and pickleball.
