Grand Wailea, A Waldorf Astoria Resort has promoted seasoned hospitality veteran Jillian Stevens to the role of director of meetings and special events. Stevens will oversee the strategic business planning for the meetings and events department at the resort.

Oliver, managing director at Grand Wailea. “With this well-deserved promotion, we look forward to having Jillian lead our essential Meetings and Special Events sector and continue to provide guests with memorable and flawlessly executed events of all kinds on property.”
Stevens brings 20 years of hospitality experience to her new role at Grand Wailea and is frequently recognized as a leader in special events innovation. In her previous role, she was the assistant director of catering and conference services, where she assisted with the management, coordination and execution of elite programs and special events at the resort. Prior to that, she held the position of director of catering and events at the Waldorf Astoria Chicago.
As director of meetings and special events, Stevens will lead her department, overseeing the strategic business planning and operations. She will play an integral role in the ideation, creation and execution of special events at the resort, including weddings, incentive trips, community programming and conferences held at the property’s indoor and outdoor meeting spaces.
Stevens said, “I am thrilled to step into this new role and look forward to being at the forefront of reshaping the luxury standard of special event experiences in this next chapter at Grand Wailea.”
