The Elms Hotel and Spa has appointed Mark Johnson as the director of sales marketing and events. He will lead the hotel’s sales and marketing initiatives, capitalize on revenue opportunities, and ensure that The Elms Hotel and Spa continues to exceed guest expectations. Johnson brings over 25 years of experience in the hospitality industry with expertise in sales, business development and hotel operations to the role. The Elms Hotel and Spa is part of the Destination by Hyatt portfolio.

Prior to this position, Johnson served as director of sales, marketing and events at Hyatt Place Hotel and Conference Center in Kansas City for nearly three years. Before joining the Hyatt family, he held a leadership position with Peachtree Hotel Group leading all sales efforts and above property support for a portfolio of three hotel brands and 11 Peachtree Hotels including Courtyard by Marriott, Hilton Garden Inn, Hampton Inn, Aloft Hotel and Hotel Indigo.
Throughout his career, Johnson has demonstrated outstanding ability in managing high-volume initiatives and teams across multiple locations without compromising on service quality and profitability. His strong understanding of revenue generation and operational profitability, coupled with his expertise in identifying emerging market trends, will be invaluable assets to The Elms Hotel and Spa.
