Business travel company Corporate Traveler has announced the appointment of Kimberly Sweeney as its new vice president of marketing in the United States. In her leadership role, she will oversee and manage the U.S. marketing department, identifying key opportunities for growth across the business.
Sweeney will be responsible for the planning, development and execution of the company’s marketing strategies throughout the country. She will also work closely at times on global brand initiatives and will focus on ways to increase online customer adoption of Corporate Traveler’s proprietary digital platform Melon.
Based out of Corporate Traveler’s U.S. headquarters in New York City, Sweeney’s appointment is effective immediately and she will report to John Van den Heuvel, president of Corporate Traveler USA, and Claire Harrington, SVP global marketing for Corporate Traveler.
Sweeney brings over 15 years of experience working with several different B2B and B2C companies across a variety of industries. She most recently served as senior vice president at global technology company Markaaz, where she was integral in shaping product positioning, along with driving awareness for the company as one of the leading providers of small business data solutions. Prior to that, Sweeney led digital marketing as the vice president of global digital and content marketing for Dynata, the world’s largest first-party data company for insights, activation, and measurement. Sweeney’s decorated resume also includes nearly five years at Mastercard, where she was responsible for leading strategic growth and social impact marketing initiatives, which included a Webby Award-winning media campaign focused on financial inclusion.
