The Global Business Travel Association (GBTA) has announced several in-person conferences and events for the final quarter of 2021.
The events to be held across multiple European locations are amongst the first opportunities for the industry to meet and collaborate in person. Education will continue to be a key component of each event, featuring industry leaders and a range of panel discussions covering topical subject matter. Each event will also allow for numerous opportunities to network with peers, to rebuild and forge business relationships.
According to a latest poll of GBTA members and stakeholders, 75 percent of European respondents expect that business travel will see a significant or moderate increase from September to November 2021. This is supported by the latest results highlighting that more than seven in 10 GBTA travel buyers felt their employees are "willing" or "very willing" to travel for business in the current environment.
Catherine Logan, regional VP EMEA, GBTA said in a press note that each of the events would have additional safety measures in order to ensure the well-being of delegates. She opined that collaboration is key for the business travel industry, and added that the multiple events across Europe will give delegates the opportunity to address the current industry-wide challenges, as well as those specific to the individual regions and markets.
The in-person events include: the GBTA France Masterclass at Hôtel Le Méridien Etoile, Paris, on September 16; the GBTA Italy Conference in Milan on November 9; and the GBTA Europe conference in partnership with VDR in Berlin from December 6-8.
