The Los Angeles Tourism & Convention Board (Los Angeles Tourism) has reintroduced the "Now Playing" campaign with special group hotel offers tied to it. The campaign highlights major events in the Los Angeles area in the coming months and aims to encourage the planner community to book meetings around these events and entice group bookings with an array of hotel incentives bookable through June 30, 2025.
Planners who submit a qualified, new meeting/event lead/RFP to the LA Tourism sales team are eligible to receive a $50 gift card for 10 to 99 rooms or a $100 gift card for 100 or more rooms on peak. This offer only applies to new leads/RFPs and excludes previously sourced opportunities. Once the group is booked, planners are eligible to receive $10 per actualized room night, up to $5,000 back to the organization. (This excludes complimentary room nights.)
More than 40 hotel offers are available across the L.A. area, including in Downtown Los Angeles/LA Metro, Beach Cities/LAX, the Westside, The Valley and Greater Hollywood. Deals vary by property but may include upgrades, amenities, commissions and freebies like Wi-Fi, vendor frees, meeting room rental fees and more.
With nearly a half-decade of global sporting events coming to L.A., planners and attendees also have the opportunity to experience the host venues that will soon be on the world stage, including the brand-new Intuit Dome (host of NBA's 2026 All-Star Game), SoFi Stadium (host of the FIFA World Cup 26 and the opening ceremony of the 2028 Olympic and Paralympic Games), and iconic venues like Crypto.com Arena, Los Angeles Memorial Coliseum, Dodger Stadium, BMO Stadium and Rose Bowl Stadium.
In addition, earlier this month, the Los Angeles City Council voted to move forward with Los Angeles Convention Center's (LACC) expansion and modernization project. The vote highlighted the city’s commitment to investing in the LACC, an economic engine for the region and a project that will create thousands of jobs for Angelenos, attract visitors and bring new revenue to the city’s general fund.
