Four Seasons Enhances Services for Visitors to Japan

Business travelers to Japan can extend their stay for pre- or post-work adventures. The twin cities of Tokyo and Kyoto have much to offer, along with good connectivity via the Shinkansen bullet train network.

Four Seasons Hotel Tokyo at Marunouchi is located steps away from Tokyo Station, while Four Seasons Hotel Tokyo at Otemachi, the brand’s newest addition to its portfolio in Japan, offers a base in the city’s financial center. Travelers can visit iconic landmarks such as the world’s busiest pedestrian crossing in Shibuya, Asakusa’s Sensoji Temple, the 2,080-foot Tokyo Skytree, Mori Art Museum and The National Museum of Western Art. They can also head to Ginza, the luxury shopping district.

From Tokyo, a quick Shinkansen ride will take travelers to Four Seasons Hotel Kyoto in the Higashiyama temple district. The Ryosoku-in Temple is a 20-minute walk from the hotel. More than 100 dining outlets can be found along the Kamo river, many of which have their roots in the 16th-century Azuchi Momoyama period. Guests at Four Seasons Kyoto will enjoy access to Shakusui-en, the hotel’s pond garden, which dates to the 12th century and is one of the city’s only remaining gardens from the Heian period.

Guests can also revel in local festivities: the vibrant parade of Gion Matsuri in July, the bonfires of Gozan no Okuribi in August, and the intricate costumes of Jidai Matsuri in October.

Four Seasons supports guest productivity with five key offerings: Wi-Fi coverage and abundant bandwidth; ergonomic chairs, task lamps and ring lamps to illuminate the workspace, and an adjustable screen background; a “Work at Leisure” sign in all guestrooms; food and beverage; and private workspaces.
