The Venetian Resort Las Vegas has enhanced its guest arrival experience. Guests will now be immediately welcomed to Sala 118, a bar and lounge that embraces the spirit of Italy, a Starbucks, and an expanded Concierge and Luggage desk. The update is part of a billion-dollar reinvestment plan, which the resort undertook more than a year ago to impact nearly every aspect of the guest experience.
The bar at Sala 118 is said to evoke "the romance of the 118 islands of Venice." The space has been designed with arches and vaulted ceilings reminiscent of historic cathedrals. It sports rich warm colors and has plush sofas and banquettes. The menu, created by Andrew Pollard, director of mixology at The Venetian Resort, includes well-known Italian cocktails presented in three chapters: aperitivo, the Italian way to wind down and stimulate the palate before dinner; negroni, with several variations crafted with Sala 118’s own signature blend of vermouth and bitters and poured from a lion fountain at the bar; and classic cocktails with a modern twist.
Cocktail highlights include:
- Signature – Fords Gin, Sala Signature Bitter & Vermouth Blend
- Brando – Rémy Martin 1738 Cognac, Amaro Montenegro, lemon, coconut, and Angostura Bitters
- España – Don Julio Primavera Reposado Tequila, Paladar Tempranillo Finished Reposado Tequila, Lustau Gran Reserva Brandy de Jerez, Heirloom Alchermes, and Casals Rojo Vermouth
In addition to Sala 118, the lobby experience is elevated by a new Concierge desk which pulls through an Italian influence in its design and provides guests with tailored and personalized recommendations. Starbucks sits alongside Sala 118 as well.
