Southern Utah’s Black Desert Resort has announced its soft preview opening on October 16, 2024, followed by a grand opening in spring 2025.
The resort spans over 600 acres and is set at the convergence of three major ecosystems—the Mojave Desert, the Great Basin and the Colorado Plateau. The preview phase opening follows the Black Desert Championship, part of the PGA Tour’s 2024 FedExCup, which took place on the resort’s Tom Weiskopf-designed championship course (October 9-13, 2024).
The resort’s preview period will introduce a collection of guestrooms and suites, seven food & beverage outlets along with 45,000 square feet of indoor/outdoor meeting and events space. A heated outdoor pool and hot tub will round out the initial offerings.
The resort’s food and beverage options include Latitude, a family-friendly, open-air restaurant; Basalt steakhouse and bar; 20th Hole clubhouse and bar; Flo Lobby Bar; Lava Love Coffee Bar; Oasis, a Mexican-style taqueria; and Club 73 restaurant. Black Desert Resort offers more than 45,000 square feet of flexible and light-filled indoor-outdoor meeting space as well as outdoor event venues, including ballrooms that offer multiple breakout capabilities and terraces.
Situated amid the centuries-old lava beds and sandstone cliffs of Greater Zion, Black Desert Resort will offer easy access to Snow Canyon and Zion National Park, as well as more than 200 acres of preserved land, six miles of hiking trails, scenic bike paths, and more.
As part of its initial debut, Black Desert Resort is offering preview promotion rates available from October 16 through March 31, 2025. Additionally, the resort is offering its “Championship Stay & Play Package” for golf enthusiasts. Guests will enjoy accommodations in a selected room type, one round of golf per person at the Black Desert Golf course, including cart fees and all on-course food and non-alcoholic beverages, practice facility access featuring Trackman Technology, forecaddie service and a tee gift.
