Thompson Buckhead is expected to open early this winter in Atlanta, Georgia. Located in the center of the Buckhead Village District, the 10-story hotel, designed by Studio 11, will offer 201 guestrooms and suites, a rooftop club, an Italian-American restaurant and meeting spaces.
All accommodations will have chevron-patterned wood floors, rugs and marble mosaics, along with floor-to-ceiling windows offering skyline views. Among the amenities, the guestrooms offer custom 400-thread count Sferra linens, Sealy Tempur-Pedic mattresses, D.S. & Durga bath products, Thompson Hotels-branded signature robes and a locally curated minibar.
Junior Suites, King Suites and Parlor Suites will range from 417 to 620 square feet. The signature Thompson Suite, spanning 1,048 square feet, will include a full wet bar, glass-enclosed dining room and a master bathroom featuring a spa-inspired wet room with steam shower and soaking tub.
Guests staying at the hotel’s suites and rooms on the ninth floor can experience Tesserae, the hotel’s private membership rooftop club, when it debuts early next year. Tesserae will serve as an invite-only, indoor-outdoor rooftop club, offering exclusive food and beverage amenities, and access to privately curated events. A rooftop pool with private cabanas will be open to all hotel guests and rounds out the 10th-floor experience.
On the ground level is Dirty Rascal, a 140-seat signature restaurant by James Beard Foundation semifinalist chef Todd Ginsberg and the Rye Restaurants team. Dirty Rascal harkens back to old-school Italian-American restaurants and features a large central bar, intimate alcoves, a wall of round leather booths, and a private dining area. Open for breakfast, lunch, and dinner, the restaurant will be led by Joshua Hopkins, executive chef of Thompson Buckhead.
The hotel’s 4,187-square-foot ballroom, complete with a retractable glass wall that opens to an outdoor terrace with fireplace, will be ideal for social events and family gatherings. Additional pre-function areas, executive boardroom and divisible meeting space will accommodate groups of all sizes.
The hotel is owned by Atlanta-based Regent Partners and The Loudermilk Companies. For more information, visit www.thompsonbuckhead.com.
