Sonesta Los Angeles Airport LAX has completed a $42 million renovation, unveiling redesigned guestrooms, a modernized lobby, 14,000 square feet of revamped event spaces, including the Sonesta Work Suite, and four updated dining venues.
Each of the hotel’s 614 guestrooms now sports modern furnishings including work desks with ergonomic chairs and large HDTVs, complemented by coffeemakers, mini-refrigerators and complimentary high-speed Wi-Fi. Double-paned windows ensure a restful night’s sleep, while all King rooms include a pull-out sofa bed. All double-bed rooms have been upgraded to now offer two queen beds. Five suites on the upper floors range from 610 to 1,400 square feet; accessible accommodations are also available.

The hotel’s 15 meeting rooms, including the 5,876-square-foot Continental Ballroom, offer flexible configurations for events of all sizes. High-speed wireless internet, video conferencing capabilities and new audiovisual equipment are standard. On-site catering and a 24-hour business center with technical support enhance the meeting experience. The highlight of the revamped event spaces is the introduction of the Sonesta Work Suite, a multi-functional meeting environment tailored to modern professionals. With seating for up to 12, the suite supports collaboration through self-contained work areas, making it well-suited for board meetings, brainstorming sessions and executive retreats.
The four updated dining options at Sonesta LAX include Yokoso Sushi Bar, Century Taproom & Lounge, The Landing Restaurant and Boulevard Market Café. Guests can also enjoy 24/7 room service. Wellness offerings at the hotel include a year-round outdoor pool and 24-hour fitness center, equipped with Peloton bikes and modern cardio and strength-training machines.
