The Social Hub has announced its first hotel in Porto. Slated to open on March 1, The Social Hub Porto is Portugal’s first hybrid hospitality venue and the latest milestone in the group’s expansion plans. The Porto launch increases The Social Hub’s portfolio to 20 across 18 European cities with Lisbon also on the horizon.
This new €60 (approximately $62) million, 120,555-square-foot multi-purpose 4-star hub is designed to connect travelers, digital nomads, professionals and locals in a dynamic community. The launch also brings 30 new jobs to the city. The Social Hub Porto is located in Bonjardim, the heart of the city’s vibrant cultural scene.
The Social Hub Porto features 310 rooms, including 271 hotel rooms and 39 residential apartments with up to two bedrooms catering to travelers, extended-stay guests, and students. Amenities include a state-of-the-art gym, over 6,240 square feet of co-working space for nearly 100 local professionals, and over 4,840 square feet of meeting & event spaces, including an auditorium that can accommodate more than 250 guests. Additional space includes a large interior courtyard garden open to all.

The Social Hub Porto will feature a full-service restaurant reimagining Portuguese cuisine with petiscos-style plates (small bites), family-style sharing dishes and a selection of organic wines; a rooftop cocktail bar offering craft cocktails, bites and panoramic views; and a café serving specialty coffee from local roaster Combi, alongside grab-and-go options.
The Social Hub, recently recognized with B Corp status, is designed to foster community and create meaningful social impact. Through partnerships with local organizations and experts, the hub will host more than 200 community experiences annually, ranging from cooking classes, professional skill-building programs, vintage markets and cultural initiatives, all open to locals, travelers, students and coworkers alike.
The hub will also host scholarship recipients from the group’s TSH Talent Foundation, which empowers change-makers facing barriers to opportunity. Additionally, the local community will gain access initiatives like the Better Society Academy, designed to equip individuals with the skills, knowledge and networks needed to drive positive change.
