Sheraton Phoenix Downtown has announced its partnership with REI Co-op to offer guided outdoor activities for in-house meetings and groups. Whether hiking "sun-kissed" trails, pedaling on scenic routes, floating down the Salt River or admiring desert landscapes, the new experiences invite guests to experience the beauty of the Southwest.
Groups staying at Sheraton Phoenix Downtown can enhance their destination experience by booking one of the following private activities exclusive to the hotel:
- “Tempe Town Lake Bike Tour” – Enjoy a two-and-a-half-hour bike ride through nearby Tempe Town Lake for a blend of nature and urban charm, where the tranquil waters mirror the desert landscape.
- “Hike South Mountain” – Embark on a two-hour hiking tour through the landscapes of Phoenix’s South Mountain Park to explore diverse terrain and marvel at native species.
- “Rafting the Salt River” – Enjoy a two-hour rafting adventure through the lower Salt River surrounded by mountain peaks, giant cacti and river otters while learning about Sonoran Desert geology, hydrology, human history, and more.
All guided tours are private for the group and include certified guides, bottled water and snacks, equipment (i.e. bikes, helmets, rafts, paddles), insurance and permit/entry fees. Pricing does not include transportation to off-site activities but can be arranged through REI Co-op for an additional fee.
REI Co-op can arrange these recreational outings for groups, incentive programs, client appreciations, product launches, networking events and team building. Group activities can be booked by emailing [email protected] or calling (480) 945.2881 ext. 3.
