Following a recent multimillion-dollar renovation, Sandals Royal Bahamian is welcoming groups to a revamped convention center.
Throughout the 15,483 square feet of indoor space, coral fragments, mounted silver fish and murals adorn the walls of the meeting rooms, breakout area and boardroom, providing the finishing touches to spaces that also received new flooring, paint and wallpaper. The updated convention center can host functions of up to 1,000 guests. Flamingos, the national bird of the Bahamas, line the bathroom walls, complementing the new flooring, wall tiles, modern vanities, fixtures and lighting.
The latest A/V equipment, including BSS Audio conferencing systems with Soundweb London IPD Series and Martin audio speakers lends versatility to events. The Phillips X-Line Video Wall in the ballroom leads display technology with Pure Colour Pro to boost luminance and radiance of content, while FailOver ensures backup safety in case of an outage. Commercial conferencing displays and audio systems can be found in the boardroom and huddle rooms with Quad View that turns professional displays into a bezel-free 2-by-2 video wall for flexibility. In the meeting rooms, ClickShare technology allows for seamless presentations including acoustic echo cancelation for teleconferencing, Lumens VC-A50P cameras for video conferencing and Yamaha Revolabs microphones and playback audio systems.
MICE groups at Sandals Royal Bahamian can benefit from the complimentary use of conference facilities, VIP room upgrades, private group check-ins, complimentary cocktail receptions and group dinners based on the number of rooms booked. For all-inclusive group vacations, Sandals offers special group deals through 2025. Groups who book 10 rooms or more for select travel dates can receive up to 11 percent off the group room rates. The deal can be combined with a promotional offer where those booking five rooms can get the sixth room free, and those booking 11 rooms can get the 12th room free.
Additionally, guests can grab a quick snack at two new food trucks or savor a relaxing meal at one of 10 à la carte restaurants, including Butch’s Island Chop House and Kanoo, where dishes are infused with Pan-Caribbean spices. The refreshed Coconut Grove, a beachfront lounge with live music and entertainment, provides an exciting backdrop for a toast before guests retire to a range of accommodations including beachfront, swim-up suites and standalone villas bathed in the island’s iconic pinks and blues. The resort’s private island, Sandals Barefoot Cay, is just one mile from the shore and accessible via a quick sail aboard the Sandals Love Runner.
