Renovations Underway at The Moran CityCentre in Houston

Houston-based Midway, a privately owned, fully integrated real estate investment and development firm, has announced that a portion of The Moran CityCentre’s renovation is now complete. The multimillion-dollar renovation includes a new restaurant, expanded and enhanced meeting spaces, and refreshed guestrooms.

The hotel’s public spaces were redesigned with the addition of a new breakfast restaurant concept, Café Moran, and an adjacent boardroom. Café Moran utilizes sustainably sourced wood finishes and greenery, while the breakfast menu includes classic American fare. Breakfast buffets are also available featuring familiar favorites and weekend brunch.

Located in the former Fireside Lounge, the new Pecos Junior Ballroom offers an intimate space for gatherings of up to 180 guests. Highlights include a full-service bar, separate catering kitchen, floor-to-ceiling windows overlooking the pool and CityCentre’s central plaza, plus the opportunity to reserve the pool area. Technology enhancements include two nine-foot projection screens with full audio and visual capabilities, automated lighting and upgraded internet. The Wichita Room, the boardroom located behind Café Moran, includes a 60-inch television with laptop connection, full AV capabilities and accommodates up to eight guests.

The transformation also included the front desk, sundry’s shop and updated Skybridge, slated for completion in November. Additionally, a new lobby bar and terrace overlooking CityCentre’s signature green space will open this winter, completing the hotel’s renovation.

The hotel will remain open throughout the renovation process, offering special rates that include offers for past guests, locals, and appealing options for new guests to experience the enhanced offerings.
