Omni Boston Hotel at the Seaport Opens Its Doors

Omni Hotels & Resorts recently celebrated the grand opening of Omni Boston Hotel at the Seaport. A joint venture between Omni Hotels & Resorts, New Boston Hospitality, a group of Boston-based real estate firms and investors and 39 local minority investors, the hotel has 1,054 rooms and offers views of Boston Harbor.

Designed by Boston-based Elkus Manfredi Architects; waldrop + nichols, a Texas-based, woman/minority-owned, interior-design firm; and Moody Nolan and Stull and Lee, Inc., both based in Boston, the hotel’s guestrooms, including the 52 suites, are housed within two, 22-story towers, namely the Patron Tower and the Artist Tower. Located on the 22nd floor of the Patron Tower is the 2,000-square-foot, two-bedroom Presidential Suite, which offers 180-degree views, as well as a pool table and lounge area, private office space, two fireplaces, a dining room with seating for eight and an adjoining bar and pantry, bathroom retreat with a walk-in shower and freestanding soaking tub, and a private screening room.

The hotel’s lobby has a platform stage, inspired by the steps outside of the Institute of Contemporary Art, Boston, and is designed for live music and performances.

There are seven dining venues at Omni Boston Hotel at the Seaport, five of which are helmed by Executive Chef Steve Peterson. Kestra is an upscale, all-day dining with a Mediterranean-American flair, while The Sporting Club, with a modern sporting environment, serves locally and globally inspired food, shareable plates and specialty cocktails. On the fifth floor is the Lifted Pool Bar, an open-air venue with contemporary food and cocktails, adjacent to the only outdoor pool in the Seaport area, while located in the lobby is Crescendo, which focuses on classic and refined cocktails, a wine and beer selection and sweet and savory lounge bites. Legato Grab & Go Market is the property’s own independent, contemporary coffee shop with a carte-du-jour of breakfast and lunch items.

The hotel’s dining experience also includes a tie-up with the COJE Management Group, which operates two distinct venues within the hotel. Coquette is a French brasserie inspired by the cuisine found throughout the coast of Southwest France and Northern Spain, and Cocorico is a day-to-night café and wine bar located just outside Coquette, within the Omni Boston Hotel lobby.

The Breve Spa offers a range of body massages, customized facials, blow-outs, nail services and makeup application. The hotel also sports a 3,800-square-foot, 24-hour fitness center with Peloton Bikes, ellipticals, free weights and essential workout equipment. After an invigorating workout, guests can head for the rooftop deck and outdoor pool, perched high atop the fifth floor, and enjoy views of the city skyline and South Boston.

For events, Omni Boston Hotel at the Seaport has 100,000 square feet of flexible indoor and outdoor space. Spanning four levels, guests will have access to a range of venues, including a large ballroom and the 3,000-square-foot outdoor Elevate Balcony that has westward views of the Boston skyline and the Boston Convention and Exhibition Center directly across the street.

The hotel is the first project developed under the “Massport Model,” which integrates diversity and inclusion into every facet of the development and operation of public/private development projects.
