Hilton has announced the opening of Conrad Los Angeles, marking the first California property for Conrad Hotels & Resorts. The 305-key hotel is anchored within The Grand LA, Related Companies’ newest destination for shopping, dining, entertainment and accommodation options in downtown Los Angeles.
Conrad Los Angeles has been designed by architect Frank Gehry with interior design by Tara Bernerd & Partners. It has two original food and beverage concepts from chef and humanitarian José Andrés and ThinkFoodGroup; the Conrad Spa Los Angeles; and is located near popular cultural venues, including Walt Disney Concert Hall, Grand Park, LA Opera and The Broad.
Breakfast and dinner will be served at San Laurel on the 10th floor, with views overlooking the Disney Concert Hall. Just across from San Laurel on the outdoor terrace is Agua Viva, a rooftop restaurant offering shared plates and cocktails in an open-air dining room. Airlight, the rooftop pool deck, serves a menu of light bites and cocktails. An intimate respite for culinary and cocktail aficionados, SED showcases popular spirits and flavors in addition to seasonal fresh fruits and vegetables from the West Coast, inspired by Andrés’ travels around the world.
The lobby echoes the rhythms of the building’s façade and lines are blurred between indoor and verdant outdoor spaces with floor-to-ceiling windows. The lobby bar offers a striking piece of history, crafted out of polished and glazed molten lava that is 11,000 years old as well as Ceppo di Gre stone in the lobby from the quarries of Lake Iseo in Lombardy.
The guestrooms feature wide-planked pale oak floors, in-suite dining, an open wardrobe with seat and mirror, an L-shaped sofa and a personalized minibar. Accommodations range from standard guestrooms to presidential suites. The Grand Avenue Suite features a private terrace, a dining room with a six-seat dining table, a living room with a built-in bar, a master bedroom with a five-piece bathroom and walk-in wardrobe.
Spanning over 7,000 square feet and complete with seven treatment rooms, Conrad Spa Los Angeles features a curated wellness bar, an enlightenment lounge, infrared sauna, a Gharieni Welnamis wavetable and recovery cabins. Personalized massage treatments are also available.
Conrad Los Angeles offers 12,000 square feet of events and meeting spaces for up to 300 guests, including a 4,800-square-foot ballroom with pre-function space and a connecting terrace. The hotel is located at 100 South Grand Avenue, Los Angeles, California, 90012. Guests can avail 25 percent discount on starting room rates until August 31, 2022.
