Houston-based Midway, a privately owned, fully integrated real estate investment and development firm, has announced that The Moran CityCentre’s multimillion-dollar renovation is now complete. The hotel is sporting a new front desk, lobby bar and terrace space, a new ground level entrance, refreshed rooms and expanded meeting spaces.
A key highlight of the renovation, The Moran CityCentre’s public spaces now includes a new venue, The Allegory Bar, along with its adjacent terrace overlooking CityCentre’s central plaza. Offering a mix of traditional bar seating and lounge areas, The Allegory Bar offers regular happy hours, themed cocktail nights and interactive mixology classes, welcoming both locals and travelers alike. Just steps from The Allegory Bar, the 950-square-foot terrace offers guests an overview of CityCentre’s central gathering area with seating areas and high-top tables under an awning outfitted with heaters and fans. The hotel entrance and front desk have been completely redesigned to create an open and seamless arrival experience for guests.
The hotel also has a new breakfast restaurant concept, Café Moran, open Monday through Saturday from 6 to 10 a.m.; brunch service is offered on Sundays from 7 a.m. to 2 p.m.
As part of the extensive renovation, all 244 guestrooms have been refreshed with new furnishings, bedding, modern lighting and technology upgrades. In-room amenities include bar carts stocked with Texas-based liquors, a selection of snacks and coffee service, custom bath products, handheld steamers and more.
The hotel’s meeting spaces have been revitalized, as well, with new names and thematic elements reflecting the state’s counties and landscape. The Meeting and Events Centre, connected via a sky bridge, offers 10,000 square feet of space, including a 4,000-square-foot ballroom.
The new Pecos Junior Ballroom, located in the former Fireside Lounge, can accommodate up to 180 guests; it has a full-service bar, a catering kitchen and floor-to-ceiling windows overlooking the pool, with the option to reserve the pool area. Enhanced technology includes two nine-foot projection screens with full audio-visual capabilities, automated lighting and upgraded internet. Additionally, the Wichita Room, situated adjacent to Café Moran, is equipped with a 60-inch television with laptop connectivity, full audio-visual capabilities and seating for eight, making it well-suited for presentations and small meetings.
