MGM Grand Hotel & Casino has shared details of its $300 million remodel encompassing all of the hotel’s 4,212 rooms and suites within its main tower. The transformation is slated for completion in December. The remodeled rooms will join a lineup of new dining and entertainment experiences set to open at MGM Grand later this year. The first phase of the main tower’s newly remodeled rooms will be available for reservation beginning March 1, 2025.
Designed by global architecture firm Gensler, in partnership with MGM Resorts Design & Development, the remodeled guestrooms blend functionality, comfort and style. Bathrooms will be upgraded with spacious walk-in showers with glass enclosures and porcelain finishes. Guests can also expect integrated closets, complete with mirrored, illuminated interiors, plus blackout drapery, wall-mounted smart TVs and minibar units with separate guest-use refrigerators. Additionally, media consoles will be upgraded across all rooms. Charging stations with USB, USB-C and traditional outlets will be located on both sides of the bed.
With this remodel, MGM Grand will add 111 suites to its main tower for a total of 753, ranging in size from 675 to 2,572 square feet. These newly designed suites will sport reconfigured layouts with enhanced privacy, multi-functional spaces for work and entertainment. The livable entertainment areas will include comfortable sectionals and lenticular artwork. Bathrooms in the suites will also be fully remodeled, offering double mirrors, new showers, quartz benches and illuminated mirrors.
Besides the hotel’s newly designed rooms and suites, MGM Grand is introducing several new dining venues and attractions. Developments include the early 2025 opening of Netflix Bites, highlighting cuisine inspired by hit Netflix shows, and the summer launch of Palm Tree Beach Club, a tropical-inspired day club from DJ Kygo’s Palm Tree Crew.
