New Jersey Marriott Unveils $15 Million Renovation

The 244-room Marriott Saddle Brook has unveiled the first phase of a $15 million renovation, making the property one of the newest hotel products in this region of New Jersey. The hotel, less than 20 miles from midtown Manhattan, completed Phase One of the renovation in July. With Phase One complete, the hotel now has new guestrooms, meeting spaces, ballroom and fitness center.

Originally built in 1967, the hotel is the second oldest Marriott currently operating in the system. The hotel’s redesign was handled by hospitality interior design firm DiLeonardo. Elements of the redesign in public spaces and guestrooms integrate geometric elements. The exterior has been painted in a color palette of slate gray and neutral tones. A full refurbishment of the parking lot incorporates refreshed landscaping with trees, shrubs and flowering plants.

All 244 guestrooms, including three suites, have been completely redesigned. The new guestrooms sport a soft, warm color palette and modern furnishings. Guestrooms have a full array of amenities, such as high-speed Wi-Fi, televisions with premium channels and app streaming services, a desk space, robes and slippers, a coffee/tea maker and more.

The completely refurbished fitness center is located on the first floor and is open 24/7. Newly installed equipment includes elliptical machines, exercise bikes, weight machines, free weights and more. Complimentary headphones, filtered water, bottled water, fruit and towels are available.

The Marriott Saddle Brook is a hub for business meetings, events and social gatherings. The 7,200 square feet of completely redesigned indoor gathering spaces includes six meeting rooms named after nearby counties in New Jersey and the 300-guest Grand Ballroom. An additional 4,700 square feet of seasonal outdoor space is flexible for a variety of events. With nearly 12,000 square feet of flexible event space, the options are plenty.

The newly built Atrium streams in natural light. This space, which was formerly the pool area, is well-suited for business lunches, social events, weddings, parties and more. Marriott Certified Wedding Planners are available for a host of wedding planning services from overall planning to detailed execution, including ethnic and military wedding celebrations. Audio-visual equipment, event supplies, custom catering and the Marriott Meeting Services app are just some of the meeting services provided by the team.

Phase Two of the renovation will encompass a rebuild of the Marriott M Club, a new restaurant and a recreation of the Greatroom lobby space. Scheduled to be completed in early 2025, the hotel will then showcase a top-to-bottom new product.

Marriott Saddle Brook is close to MetLife Stadium, Secaucus, Elmwood Park, Hackensack, Fairleigh Dickinson University and Great Falls Park. On site, guests enjoy cocktails at Saddle Pub and American cuisine at Saddle Club. Several local restaurant delivery options are available near the hotel in the Elmwood Park area.
