Marriott Long Beach Downtown Opens in California

Marriott Hotels and Sunstone Hotel Investors, Inc. have announced the opening of the new Marriott Long Beach Downtown in California. The 12-story hotel has 376 contemporary guestrooms and suites, a rooftop pool and deck, a central Greatroom lobby designed for social interaction and work, a lobby market, an exercise facility, ample meeting space and an all-day restaurant.

Derived from the area’s beach-oriented local culture, the hotel’s refreshed design was spearheaded by Looney & Associates LLC. Complete with expansive windows to allow for generous natural light, the guestrooms sport a modern, locally inspired theme alongside nautical elements. Each guestroom has tech-enabled work surfaces, a coffeemaker, flat-screen HDTV and more.

Guests can dine onsite at Local Current, which is open for breakfast, lunch and dinner. Highlights include a breakfast buffet, all-day brunch, a raw bar with fresh seafood and oysters, vegetarian options and more. The bar offers craft beer, California wines, seasonal margaritas, mocktails, among other items. Additionally, The Market is a 24-hour hub for grab-and-go fare such as coffee, pastries and sandwiches.

Marriott Long Beach Downtown is also home to M Club, a brand signature offered at select Marriott Hotels globally, which provides Marriott Bonvoy Platinum Elite, Titanium Elite and Ambassador Elite members, as well as paying guests, an exclusive space to rest and recharge. A range of complimentary F&B options from hot breakfast to evening drinks, hors d’oeuvres and premium beverages are offered throughout the day.

The hotel offers more than 21,000 square feet of meeting space, including 14 flexible event rooms and 18 breakout rooms. All meeting areas have wireless connectivity, videoconferencing, docking stations and smart whiteboards. An onsite audiovisual technician is always available and a variety of custom catering menu options are provided.
