Le Méridien Essex Chicago, the newly updated mid-century hotel along Chicago’s Cultural Mile, has unveiled a new event space from Chicago-based LM Catering & Events, LM Studio Chicago, which can host gatherings of all sizes, from large-scale weddings to cocktail parties and business meetings.
One of the newest properties to join the Marriott Bonvoy family, the 279-room Le Méridien Essex Chicago is part of a mixed-use lifestyle development, which includes the bi-level event space with park views, as well as the 479-unit Sentral Michigan Avenue luxury apartment tower and groundfloor American restaurant from LM Restaurant Group, Grant Park Bistro.
LM Studio is a light-filled, two-level space occupying the fifth and sixth floors, and overlooking Michigan Avenue and Grant Park. The venue has an open floorplan, a custom bar and modern design. The sixth floor is home to LM Studio, which is the main event space, while the Atrium, located on the fifth floor, is better suited for smaller events. Both have floor-to-ceiling windows with the same views, a bar and lounge seating. LM Studio also offers a built-in sound system and customizable hologram. Capacities for each room are: 150 seated with a dance floor, 200 seated without dance floor, 250 reception and 150 for a ceremony in LM Studio and 80 seated rounds, 40 seated rectangle, 150 reception and 100 for a ceremony in the Atrium.
Every event at LM Studio is catered by in-house caterer, LM Catering & Events. The culinary team of experts at LM works to build event menus using seasonal ingredients. Additionally, LM Studio is a "B.Y.O.B." venue provided all alcoholic beverages are purchased from a licensed reseller. LM Catering & Events also provides full beverage packages for clients who prefer the option. All catering packages include a bar mixer package and bar set up.
