The JW Marriott Desert Springs Resort & Spa in Palm Desert, CA, has unveiled a multimillion-dollar redesign, which includes the debut of The Sinatra Ballroom, the largest indoor event space in the Greater Palm Springs area at 25,000 square feet, which hosted the last public performance of the famed singer Frank Sinatra.
Spread over 450 acres of desert gardens, the resort offers views of the surrounding mountains. There are 884 newly designed guestrooms—including 101 luxury suites—with hardwood floors, modern furnishings and mountain-inspired, silhouette murals, all in new shades of blue, gray and white. The bathrooms have quartz vanities, rain-style showers and more than 300 rooms offer free-standing soaking tubs.
The hotel offers 235,000 square feet of flexible indoor and outdoor meeting, exhibit, and banquet spaces, which can accommodate groups of all sizes. The interiors of the conference center have been redesigned with finishes reflective of the mid-century modern era. Cool blue hues, modern chandeliers and a desert palette are found throughout the property.
JW Marriott Desert Springs also launched the JW Entertainment Zone, including an arcade game room, skee-ball, duck bowling, virtual reality games and seasonal activities. Future renovation phases will include spa redesign and dining outlet updates. The entertainment zone is open for group bookings.
The hotel has activities for every age and interest. The resort, which is home to one of the largest spas in Southern California, also houses two Ted Robinson-designed championship golf courses and a tennis club. Guests can enjoy electric boat rides on 18 acres of lakes and waterways, choose from a range of culinary options or even sign up for a bird conservation program.
