Hyatt recently celebrated Hyatt Regency Salt Lake City’s topping out, which recognizes the accomplishment of reaching the final design height of a building under construction. Located at 170 South West Temple, the hotel is on time to open in the fall of 2022.
Hyatt Regency Salt Lake City will be a 25-story convention hotel providing views of the snowcapped mountains. It will offer 700 rooms, approximately 60,000 square feet of meeting space, two restaurants, two lounges, and a grab-and-go market. The lobby will allow guests to enjoy inviting spaces anchored by a double-sided stone-clad fireplace.
“The design for the Hyatt Regency Salt Lake City offers an experience of modern, clean and streamlined concepts that takes full advantage of its unique site and works in harmony with the neighborhood” said Robert Halverson, CEO for Portman Architects, in a press release.
Expected to open in the fall of 2022, the hotel will be situated in the heart of downtown Salt Lake City, attached to the Salt Palace Convention Center, and will aim to attract a multitude of groups and conventions.
“Hyatt Regency Salt Lake City will bring a new and dynamic hotel to the Salt Lake City marketplace, and is a great example of our continued focus on growing premium, full-service hotels that will attract convention business and leisure travelers alike,” said Jordan Meisner, senior vice president of field operations for Hyatt, in a press release.
