Hyatt Regency Greenwich Unveils $40 Million Renovation

Hyatt Regency Greenwich has announced the completion of its $40 million renovation. Located in the heart of Old Greenwich and once home to Conde Nast’s printing operation, the property has updated its guestrooms and various common spaces, including Townsend Bar and Glenna’s Cafe & Market.

All of the guestrooms at Hyatt Regency Greenwich have been renovated and redecorated with signature beds, open storage areas, a dedicated workstation and more. Among the 374 remodeled guestrooms is the newly designed Residential Suite, tailored for long-term visitors. Suite guests can enjoy a 600-square-foot room with an atrium view as well as such in-room amenitiesas washer and dryer, a kitchenette, a dining table for four, two 65-inch televisions with streaming capabilities, a king-sized bed and a full sleeper sofa.

As part of the recent renovation, the 28,000 square feet of meeting and event spaces—including the refreshed junior ballroom and beloved atrium—now have additional natural light, scenic views of the foliage and a modern aesthetic.

Elsewhere, Townsend, the hotel’s moonlit bar, is set beneath an atrium and surrounded by 2,300 plants. Its food philosophy celebrates local farmers, delivering cuisine rooted in the culinary heritage of New England and the greater New York City area. Hyatt Regency Greenwich has also re-introduced its brunch service, held on the second Sunday of each month. Complementing these culinary offerings, The Library Lounge at Hyatt Regency Greenwich provides an additional space to enjoy Townsend Bar’s curated list of classic cocktails. This old-world, gentleman-style lounge also allows for guests to play billiards, browse vintage Condé Nast publications or select a cigar from the extensive humidor.
