The Hoxton Shepherd's Bush To Open This November

The Hoxton will open in Shepherd’s Bush in London this November. The new hotel will be the brand's fourth in its hometown (and 12th in The Hoxton series). The new addition puts the Hoxton brand in all corners of the British capital as the design-driven, community-focused hotels can now be found in east, south, central and west London.

Located on the north end on Shepherd’s Bush green, in the heart of the eclectic and diverse neighborhood, the hotel will have 237 "playfully" designed bedrooms; Thai-Americana restaurant, Chet’s, serving up fiery flavors, natural wines and spicy coriander martinis; a large open lobby with vintage seating and cozy corners, a central wraparound bar and terrace where guests can enjoy cocktails and coffees, a standalone retail store that will serve the community, and The Apartment meeting and events space.

The new hotel is well located for exploring west London, with iconic destinations like Shepherd’s Bush Market, Bush Hall and Shepherd’s Bush Empire on its doorstep; hotspots like Portobello Market and Notting Hill in easy walking distance; and leafy Chiswick, Hyde Park and Richmond a short bus ride away, providing plenty to see and do for visitors. As a neighborhood, Shepherd’s Bush is a melting pot of cultures, cuisines and communities, and is steeped in music and entertainment history, famous for producing some of the world’s most famous rock ‘n’ roll bands and home to the BBC’s Television Centre. As with all Hoxton hotels, the rich history and thriving scene will heavily influence the hotel’s partnerships and programming.

The Hoxton, Shepherd's Bush

Designed by Ennismore Design Studio, the hotel’s interiors draw references to the local area throughout, with the public spaces paying tribute to retro transport design and some of the symmetry and color palettes from the TFL archives in the nearby London Transport Museum Depot. Iconic train carriage shapes and retro aesthetics add playfulness to the public spaces, whilst decorative glass chandeliers and pendants embellished with mixed metals add a dash of glamour.

The hotel's 237 bedrooms come in six categories, including Cozy, Roomy, Snug Bunk and an all-new Hideout category: think basement crash pads with all the Hoxton touches, ideal for late nights and quick sleepovers. Rooms have peachy toned walls, dark timbers and copper finishes, and such details like wavy headboards, scallop-edged mirrors, terrazzo tables and geometric flatweave rugs. Details such as the green metal dado rail that wraps around the curves of the full height mirror, are drawn from shapes in local architecture, giving subtle nods to the surrounding neighborhood with a contemporary twist.

On the ground floor is Chet’s, the Thai-Americana restaurant with a menu from Kris Yenbamroong of LA hotspot NIGHT + MARKET. A central wraparound bar has lacquered-reeded timber detailing and a pink and gray marble countertop, while the lobby has vintage furniture, cozy corners, and art on the walls from local artists.

The Hoxton, Shepherd's Bush

The Hoxton’s signature meeting and events concept, The Apartment, which features in each of its hotels, is located on the ground floor in Shepherd’s Bush, with four rooms centered around a communal Pantry Kitchen. The space is well suited for parties and private dining, with characterful wall-coverings wrapping each meeting room and a warm welcoming pantry with tongue and groove paneling and a counter that flips to a bar come evening time.

Deal: Guests booking before November 28, 2022 (for stays until March 31, 2023), can book for £150 rooms with £50 restaurant credit (approximately $175 and $58, respectively) to spend during one's stay. For details, visit thehoxton.com
