Hilton Galveston Island Resort has completed a multimillion-dollar renovation that touched upon every aspect of the resort. The hotel now has elevated guestrooms, an innovative restaurant concept and bar, a revitalized pool deck, a modernized fitness center, and refreshed meeting spaces.
The renovated guestrooms offer new furniture, with most king rooms also offering full-size sleeper sofas. Upgrades include enhanced lighting, designated makeup vanities, tile flooring and walk-in showers. Nearly all rooms have views overlooking the Gulf of Mexico through newly installed windows. Additionally, each room now has Hilton’s Connected Room technology, allowing guests to stream their favorite shows, movies and music directly from their personal accounts to the in-room TVs.
For meetings and events. both the Oasis (1,380 square feet) and Oceanfront (3,500 square feet) Ballrooms have new carpets, chandeliers, refined wall coverings, enhanced lighting, modern chairs and high-speed internet. Adjacent to the Oceanfront Ballroom is a 900-square-foot pre-function space designed with an 85-inch monitor and equipped with full AV capabilities, modular seating and a mobile serving island.
Guests can also look forward to enhanced dining experiences with the introduction of a new restaurant concept and remodeled lobby bar. The new 5400 Bistro combines industrial port-inspired décor with a menu offering a variety of casual yet elevated dishes with some international flavors and fresh local ingredients. The restaurant serves breakfast, lunch and dinner, as well as brunch and weekly steak nights.
The expanded lobby bar, on the other hand, now spans 1,600 square feet, accommodating up to 60 guests with poolside views through floor-to ceiling windows. By day, it serves freshly brewed Starbucks beverages and by night, it transforms into a lively lounge serving specialty cocktails, a curated wine list and local craft beers.
Guests will also discover an enhanced pool area, complete with new decking, cabanas, cozy fire pits, oversized umbrellas and expanded seating. The upgraded fitness center now includes a Peloton bike, Life Fitness machines, free weights and an amenities station offering chilled towels and bottled water.
