Hyatt Hotels has announced that the Grand Hyatt Scottsdale Resort has completed its $115 million property-wide renovation and rebrand. Formerly the Hyatt Regency Scottsdale Resort & Spa at Gainey Ranch, the updated property marks the first Grand Hyatt hotel in Arizona.
The renovation includes 496 refreshed accommodations, including the resort’s 18 luxury Casitas and the two-story Gainey House, which has a private entrance and driveway, private patio and barbecue, and pool views. Guests can choose from various room types, ranging from residential-style casitas to king and queen bed accommodations and accessible rooms. Every guestroom has a multi-purpose living space, a spa-inspired bathroom, and a private balcony or patio. The resort’s casitas offer separate living spaces for entertaining and gathering; they are also equipped with a kitchenette and dual bathrooms with views of the resort’s pool and golf course.
The resort is also debuting four new food and beverage concepts: La Zozzona, a modern Italian chophouse; Tiki Taka, serving global small plates; Mesa Centrale, a Southwestern grill; and Grand Vista Lounge, the lobby bar. The property has already introduced two new poolside concepts, Sandbar and H2Oasis.
Good to know: The resort is also home to an upgraded 10-acre destination pool complex with expanded cabanas. The space includes 10 pools and a beach. At the heart of the complex stands a three-story, high-speed waterslide, besides a whirlpool spa and a beachside putting green.
In mid-September, the refreshed Spa Avania introduced a new wellness experience that combines personalized treatments, mineral water therapy, synchronized music and tailored nutrition to create an immersive experience for guests. New treatments include Cryo Sculpt Facials, Desert Essence Wraps, CBD Trigger Point Therapy Massage and more. Spa facilities include 19 treatment rooms, including garden and couple-friendly options, a Himalayan Salt Room, exercise facilities and more.
The resort also offers visitors winding jogging paths, scenic bicycle trails that showcase the Sonoran Desert and complimentary bikes. Guests will also have access to 27 holes of championship golf at the adjacent Gainey Ranch Golf Club, two tennis courts and eight pickleball courts.
Grand Hyatt Scottsdale Resort has additionally unveiled its fully renovated meeting space, including the 14,000-square-foot Vaquero Ballroom, as well as the remaining 52,000 square feet of existing indoor/outdoor event space. The resort’s Arizona Ballroom is set to debut in January 2025. Upon completion, the venue will have nearly tripled in size to 24,000 square feet. In total, the expanded Arizona Ballroom will join the completely renovated meeting and event spaces to house a total of 90,000 square feet of indoor/outdoor event space, including 35,000 square feet of outdoor space and an additional 10,000 square feet of pre-function space. Groups can take advantage of 48 meeting rooms, onsite AV support and high-speed internet.
