As the summer travel season kicks off, Grand Hyatt Playa del Carmen Resort, a family-friendly beachfront property, has debuted several new additions to its onsite offerings. These include trending wellness sessions, a refreshed menu at the signature onsite Mexican eatery La Cocina Restaurant & Terraza and a new event venue.
La Cocina, the resort’s beachfront restaurant, has long been a guest-favorite for its classic Mexican dishes served at breakfast, lunch and dinner overlooking the Mexican Caribbean sea. La Cocina now offers a refreshed menu crafted by Chef Antonio Nuño. New local and Mayan-inspired plates include a signature salad with grilled lettuce and jocoque, a Mexican yogurt; pumpkin seed dip sikil pak; Mayan-style octopus; aguachile; and more.
Adding to its existing programming of onsite mindfulness and movement, from guided meditation and outdoor spinning classes to yoga and Pilates, beachside barre and sound healing are the latest holistic offerings for guests at Grand Hyatt Playa del Carmen. During “Barre by the Sea,” guests flow through a sunrise class meant to strengthen, sculpt and increase flexibility. The class is offered each Tuesday, Thursday and Sunday at 7 a.m. Those seeking a more relaxing morning can opt for “Echoes of the Cenote,” a meditative journey leading guests through a sound healing session of sacred instruments, harmonic vibrations and aromatherapy. Groups of four or more can book “Echoes of the Cenote” for a unique bonding experience.
Grand Hyatt Playa del Carmen’s central location makes it ideal for weddings, events and groups. Adding to its slate of indoor and outdoor venues spanning across 15,000 square feet, the resort recently debuted the Mangrove, an intimate outdoor space accommodating up to 50 guests. The Mangrove is ideal for private dinners, cocktails, wedding ceremonies or small gatherings.
