Grupo Brisas has announced the opening of Galería Plaza Monterrey, its newest property in the Mexican state of Nuevo León. The group invested around $42 million for the development of the hotel, which offers a blend of minimalism and the latest technology.
The hotel corporation, with a portfolio of hotels and resorts in the main cities and beach destinations of Mexico, celebrated the ribbon-cutting event in the presence of its CEO, Antonio Cosío Pando; the corporate director of operations, Jaime Jaramillo; the general manager of the hotel, Rubén Villarreal; and noteworthy personalities from the political and business spheres of Nuevo León.
The hotel group, with 100 percent Mexican capital and brands including NIZUC Resort & Spa, Las Brisas and Galería Plaza, announced its upcoming hotel openings: Galería Plaza León in Guanajuato and Galería Plaza Insurgentes in Mexico City.
Galería Plaza Monterrey is a luxury hotel with nine floors and 206 rooms including Lofts, Master Suites and luxury rooms, arriving in the industrial capital of Mexico with spacious and avant-garde areas for business trips, social gatherings, events and conventions. Located in the financial area of downtown Monterrey, the property features a gym and yoga area, outdoor pool, business center, restaurant, bar, fire pit, terrace for events, spa cabin, 24-hour room service, concierge services, and more.
The hotel, which expects to receive 80 percent of domestic tourism, was built in about 12 months, generating approximately 115 direct and 450 indirect jobs. The hotel is a member of Preferred Hotels & Resorts.
