Estancia La Jolla Hotel & Spa Completes Transformation

Estancia La Jolla Hotel & Spa, a Noble House Hotels & Resorts property in the San Diego area owned by Pebblebrook Hotel Trust, has announced the completion of a comprehensive renovation of its 210 guestrooms and suites, by design firm EDG. The resort has debuted the $13.9 million project just in time for peak summer travel.

The Estancia's redesigned guestrooms blend the property's equestrian heritage with modern finishes. There are raised guest beds in each room with old-world headboards with nailhead trim. Other features include custom wall coverings, wood dressers and leather-fronted bedside tables. Technological upgrades in the room include wireless chargers and enhanced entertainment through access to major streaming services. Also new is a banquette seating area offering a place to gather. Bathrooms are behind sliding barn doors and have marble countertops, modern amenities and tile-lined, walk-in showers with select accommodations offering spacious tubs complemented by hacienda-style design. Each room also offers a view of the property’s botanical grounds with select accommodations offering spacious balconies.

The revamp of Estancia La Jolla’s accommodations complements other recent enhancements to the property experience, including the introduction of one new and the revitalization of five existing lawn spaces. Totaling nearly 10,000 collective square feet, Estancia La Jolla’s six lawns bring an element of freshness to the property’s grounds.

The Garden Courtyard showcases Spanish architecture and offers 3,136 square feet of space, while the Olive Lawn offers 1,664 square feet and is located adjacent to the property’s signature restaurant, Mustangs & Burros. The Hacienda Lawn is one of Estancia La Jolla’s more intimate lawn spaces and offers 1,400 square feet of space, while the Agave Lawn totals 1,400 square feet and is best suited for intimate ceremonies and other smaller group events. Lastly, the 1,140-square-foot Caretaker’s Lawn is surrounded by historic adobe buildings and large cacti, while the Mariposa Lawn is the newest addition to Estancia La Jolla’s collection of outdoor spaces. Offering 1,000 square feet of space, it sits adjacent to the Learning Theater and is surrounded by greenery and florals.
