Renovations and extensive updates are underway at Diplomat Beach Resort in Florida. The beachfront property will soon be rebranded as Signia by Hilton Diplomat Beach Resort. The transformation of the 36-story, 1,000-room hotel tower will extend to its public spaces, including the F&B concepts, spa and conference center.
The atrium and lobby will transform into a modern, multi-story conservatory filled with exotic plantings and furnishings. The space will include a central bar serving seasonally rotating signature cocktails, while the culinary program will highlight Mediterranean-inspired small bites. From the bar area, guests can stroll out to a revamped pool deck with multiple pools that step down to almost a quarter-mile of beach below. The new infinity pool terrace design includes landscaping, adults-only cabanas, daybeds and lounge spaces with fire pits, offering direct access to a newly built outdoor bar.
Another addition to the resort’s central glass tower is Club Signia, available for an additional fee. The venue will be located on the 33rd floor and will offer 6,660 square feet of terrace and indoor space.
The culinary upgrades planned for The Diplomat Beach Resort will include significant investments in the resort’s six dining venues and in-room dining programs. Playa, the oceanfront bar and grill, is being transformed into a bar with lounge seating. It will offer live music, beachfront views and a revitalized menu showcasing Latin American fare. Planned updates include long-time favorites such as Diplomat Prime, as well as the introduction of new F&B concepts.
The resort will enhance its event and meeting offerings with a series of upgrades, too. These include refreshed interiors, updated furnishings, and enhanced banquet and catering services. In all, the resort offers over 200,000 square feet of flexible event space, including four grand ballrooms, a 50,000-square-foot Great Hall with an open-air terrace, 39 breakout rooms and seven fully serviced outdoor terraces, as well as the new South Palm Terrace. Updates include the addition of an oceanfront event terrace which will complement the resort’s meeting spaces.
Tip: A new VIP Pool Deck will be available for intimate sea-level outings and adjacent to the refreshed outdoor patio at Point Royal restaurant, providing an oceanfront setting for more intimate dining experiences or smaller events.
