Hotel del Coronado Now Accepting Reservations for Restored Victorian Building

San Diego’s Hotel del Coronado, part of Curio Collection by Hilton, is now accepting reservations for stays in the newly restored Victorian building guestrooms beginning March 1, 2025.

Over $160 million has been invested to revitalize the Victorian building, and the opening of its guestrooms will mark an important milestone in Blackstone’s more than $550 million restoration plan. Prior to the reopening of the guestrooms, Hotel del Coronado will reveal its newly renovated Crown and Coronet Rooms, which have been restored and made available for meetings, events and groups bookings starting July 2024. The completion of the Victorian building guestrooms will mark an important milestone in the multi-year, multi-phase renovation that has preserved and enhanced this National Historic Landmark.

Guestrooms in the Victorian building sport restored original finishes, design enhancements to bathrooms, new furnishing, technology updates and more. Hotel del Coronado embarked on a renovation and development plan in 2018. Completed elements of the overall revitalization include:

  • Ocean Club – This modern take on the classic concierge level experience debuted in 2023. Housed in the restored Windsor Cottage, Ocean Club includes historic elements dating back to its original conception in 1905.
  • The Laundry Pub – Completed in summer 2024, it is located inside "The Del’s" restored laundry building, complete with an 1880s-era bar, original brickwork, vaulted ceilings and the laundry’s early conveyor system above restored wood floors.
  • Beach Village at The Del – An enclave of cottages and villas and one of the resort’s two residential-style neighborhoods, which unveiled a full makeover in late 2023.
  • Shore House at The Del – The newest neighborhood inclusive of 75 residential-style accommodations on the south end of the resort, which debuted in 2022.
  • Fitness center – The expanded space offers a variety of equipment, certified trainers and a range of classes including beach spin, yoga, Pilates, paddle board yoga, and more.
  • Ice House Museum – Showcasing "The Del’s" history with behind-the-scenes moments and noteworthy guests.
  • Shops at The Del – A new retail experience with specialty shops and apparel.
  • Main resort entrance – The front drive was refreshed, reorienting the guest arrival experience to mirror "The Del’s" original arrival experience at its grand Victorian Lobby.
  • Vista Terrace – One of the hotel’s outdoor event venues that can host up to 900 guests, which relaunched in 2019.
  • Serẽa Coastal Cuisine – The sustainable sea-to-table restaurant concept debuted in 2019, led by James Beard Foundation’s Smart Catch Leader Executive Chef JoJo.
  • The Cabanas and The Views – Renovations of guestrooms in the Cabanas and Views neighborhoods, which revitalized 97 and 217 rooms, respectively.
  • Cabana pool – New main pool, heated year-round, accompanied by shaded chaise lounges, cabanas, and more.
  • Culinary upgrades – Upgrades and redesign of multiple dining outlets including the Sun Deck, Babcock & Story Bar and ENO Market & Pizzeria.
  • Spa & Salon at The Del – The updated spa with ocean-inspired treatments that tap into the healing power of the sea.
