The Charleston Place, located in downtown Charleston, SC, has officially completed the first phase of its comprehensive $150-plus million renovation. This transformation of the hotel’s 40,000 square feet of banquet space will create a new environment for meetings, conferences, weddings and social gatherings.
The transformation includes two new 1,350-square-foot meeting rooms, a second set of restrooms, expanded pre-function space, a 1,100-square-foot bridal suite and a new banquet kitchen. The banquet kitchen, located directly behind the ballroom and meeting rooms, allows the hotel to provide both buffet and restaurant-style cuisine, prepared and plated only a few feet away. Additional upgrades include new light fixtures, furniture, wall treatments, carpet and drapery.
This transformation signifies the beginning of a multi-phased project to renovate The Charleston Place from the ground up. The hotel remains open throughout the process, minimizing disruption to colleagues, the community and guests. Guests can look forward to future announcements detailing the ongoing transformation of the hotel.
The Charleston Place, the flagship property of Beemok Hospitality Collection, is an independent, hotel in the heart of downtown Charleston’s historic district. The hotel offers 433 pet-friendly guestrooms; a spa, fitness center and rooftop pool; plus an exclusive Club Level complete with spacious luxury suites and a two-story private lounge.
