Casetta Firenze, located in the Chianti region of Tuscany, has announced a new "Executive Retreats" program for companies and their leadership teams to "recharge, refocus, and rejuvenate" in the Italian countryside. The luxury farmhouse offers five bedrooms with en-suite bathrooms and private use of the entire space, including a saltwater pool, outdoor gardens, dining areas and yoga deck. A private cook is on site to prepare meals, snacks and drinks throughout the day.
For companions and guests of those participating on the retreat, Casetta can arrange a day of exploration to nearby towns like San Gimignano; a guided wine tour to Antinori Estates; a visit to view contemporary art at Castello di Ama near Siena; or a guided tour of Florence’s Renaissance art scene. (Casetta is a 25-minute drive from the center of Florence.)
Some of the Executive Retreats program highlights that can be customized for the group and their interests include:
- Equine Therapy Program – The equine therapy program was created for intuitive interactions between horses and humans. Casetta has partnered with local equestrian facility Alterreno and is designed for groups who want to set off on a "journey of self-discovery" in the Italian countryside. The activities with the horses will encourage teamwork, trust and communication among participants and will relieve stress, promote listening and observation skills.
- Culinary Immersion Workshop – Jeff Thickman, the resident culinary ambassador for Casetta, has been personal chef for celebrities, prime ministers and presidents for the past 30-plus years. He has been instructing and entertaining Casetta guests in his professional kitchen and offering special dinners at Casetta Firenze. He can take anyone’s skills to the next level with a menu of classical culinary dishes while entertaining the group with anecdotes, food history and fun. Jeff offers a multi-course class where guests will learn various techniques in preparing an elaborate meal working together as a team.
- Expert-Led Wine Tasting and Lecture - Wine professional and sommelier Lawrence d’Almeida has spent almost 30 years perfecting his expertise in enology and selecting wines for an elite global clientele and business groups. He will lead an expert level tasting session with some of the most interesting wines around with a well-loved subject matter.
- Guided Bicycling in Tuscany – Cycling expert Andrea Brandi can lead groups of any level for a cycling adventure in Tuscany. Whether one prefers a mountain bike or e-bike, an active outdoor excursion works well after a long strategy session, to revive and test anyone’s stamina.
- Hot Air Balloon – There is no better way to explore Tuscany than by hot air balloon. After floating through the sky, guests can enjoy an exclusive wine tour through private cellars and off-the-beaten track locations tasting homemade wines.
