Asher Adams, Autograph Collection, an adaptive reuse project that has transformed the 1908 Union Pacific Depot into a 225-room hotel, has opened its doors in Salt Lake City . Alongside the restoration of the historic railroad passenger station, Asher Adams will include a new eight-story guestroom tower, signature charcoal-inspired New American restaurant, market and coffee shop, three bars, fitness center, and five meeting and event spaces that have floor-to-ceiling windows.
Named after John R. Asher and George H. Adams, the first cartographers to depict railroad routes, Asher Adams is an ode to the transformative era of American Railroads. Situated downtown, the hotel touts views of the surrounding city and the Wasatch Mountains.
The 13 suites within the historical building have a mix of exposed brick and picture frame wall molding, large soaking tubs and bright subway tiles with many under 16-foot ceilings. Additional suites and accommodation types offer a twist on a modern-meets-historic design with charming use of the buildings’ original French Second Empire dormers and well-preserved round windows.

Drawing inspiration from dining cars, F&B outlets at Asher Adams include Rouser, which serves New American fare with an open kitchen as its focal point, offering tableside elements on select dishes and cocktails; No. 119, a whiskey-forward bar that allows guests to set the soundtrack for their experience at The Gandy Dancer, a vinyl lounge with a selection of 2,500 records, located en route to No. 119; The Bar at Asher Adams, which will host public and private events and tastings; and Counterpart, which offers artisanal coffee and fresh pastries for a quick and light meal.

From intimate venues to grand ballrooms, function space at Asher Adams come with floor-to-ceiling windows. Each room is named after notable train engines and railroad terms that acknowledge the history of the Union Pacific Depot building and impact on Salt Lake City.
In addition, the property offers easy access to alpine outdoor adventures including numerous ski mountains and national parks. It is just 10 minutes away from Salt Lake International Airport.
