Accor continues to expand its portfolio of hotels and resorts in Indonesia with the signing of a new Ibis Styles hotel in BSD City, an emerging urban center in Greater Jakarta. Ibis Styles Serpong BSD is slated to open its doors in the second quarter of 2024. It will be located a 15-minute drive from Indonesia’s largest convention center and surrounded by major business, retail and lifestyle centers. Downtown Jakarta and Soekarno-Hatta International Airport are less than an hour’s drive away.
The economy hotel will have playful interiors and international facilities for business, leisure and events. The 165 rooms will be offer complimentary Wi-Fi and multimedia connectivity. A selection of suites will be available for guests seeking a little more space, including families.
The 12-story hotel will be a hub for meetings and events, with a grand ballroom that can host up to 600 guests for corporate conferences and social occasions, supported by breakout meeting rooms and audio-visual technology. The all-day restaurant will be open for breakfast, lunch, and dinner, and the lounge will offer refreshments throughout the day and after dark. Guests can chill out at the swimming pool or work out at the fitness center, while younger guests can make a splash in the children’s pool.
The design concept will be inspired by Indonesia’s weaving industry and the yarn’s journey from the factory to the store—brought to life by the property’s fabrics and furnishings. Owned by PT. Graha Bangun Karya, which rose to prominence in the garment industry, Ibis Styles Serpong BSD will be fully managed by Accor.
BSD City is a planned project that was first developed in the 1990s. It has grown into a major urban area and is home to business parks, residences, retail malls, lifestyle centers, medical facilities, schools and universities.
