O2 Beach Club & Spa, a five-star resort on the South Coast of Barbados, has seen a significant increase in MICE inquiries for conferences, company retreats, product launches, and team-building events. Compared to the same period last year (April 2024), hotel event inquiries have risen by 25 percent with the largest growth coming from the Canadian and U.S. Incentive markets, as well as some growth from the U.K. The top three sectors from which inquiries are originating include finance, pharmaceutical and automotive.
O2 Beach Club & Spa recently hosted a Canadian Incentive group for 138 delegates over six nights for a leading automotive manufacturer.
To enrich the event experience, O2 Beach Club & Spa has introduced a new range of activities that can be seamlessly incorporated into event programs. These activities are designed to bring teams together, promote well-being, and unleash creativity, and include:
- Beach Olympics: This activity aims to foster team bonding and includes fun beach games and challenges such as volleyball, beach relay races, tug-of-war, football and Giant Jenga.
- Floor Show Extravaganza: It is an ice-breaker immersion in Bajan culture with performances from local artists, dancers, and musicians.
- Yoga Class: Experienced instructors lead this breakout or pre-conference activity catering to all levels.
- Sound Bath Experience: It a deeply immersive, full body listening experience aiding relaxation and stress relief through the therapeutic vibrations of crystal bowls and gongs.
- Sip n' Paint Sessions: This activity is an opportunity for delegates to get creative by participating in painting sessions guided by local artists. A bonus is sipping on health boosting beverages as well as alcoholic beverages to help with creative flow.
O2 Beach Club & Spa offers fully customizable meeting spaces accommodating from five to 130 people; the Hawksbill Room, spanning 1,500 square feet with an outdoor breakout area, offers versatile set-up options to suit various event types.
