Ottawa to Get Four New Hotels in Three Years

Four new hotels are coming to Ottawa over the coming three years, set to significantly enhance the Canadian capital's status as a destination for corporate and association events, conferences and large-scale gatherings. The introduction of AC Marriott, Moxy, Renaissance and Hard Rock Hotel will provide brand-new facilities and accommodations, providing the city with additional capacity and alternatives to the city’s current hotel stock.

The first, the AC Marriott Ottawa, is scheduled to open its doors in autumn 2024. It will offer bright and airy meeting rooms, conference facilities and dining options. It will house 159 guestrooms and five meeting rooms totaling 3,648 square feet with floor-to-ceiling windows as well as lounges and exterior space.

Moxy Ottawa is slated to open in spring 2025 with 224 guestrooms. Both the AC Marriott and the Moxy Ottawa will be located in the Byward Market, within walking distance of the Rideau Centre, the University of Ottawa and the Shaw Centre.

Later in 2025, the Hard Rock Hotel Ottawa is set to open. It will have stylish rooms, entertainment and meeting and events spaces "to fit any bill." It will offer 150 guestrooms and 22 suites, a casino, restaurants, bars and lounges, as well as a 1,800-seat theater with standing room for 2,200 guests.

Lastly, Renaissance Ottawa is slated to make its debut in downtown Ottawa in 2027. It will have 230 guestrooms and 6,000 square feet of meeting space.
