Zurich Airport to Add New Convention Center, Hyatt Hotels

Zurich Airport is set to add a new attraction and conference space, with the first phase to open this September. Called The Circle, the new facility will be able to host events for up to 2,500 guests, and it will be directly linked to the airport, which is the largest in Switzerland

In addition to the conference space, The Circle will also have two Hyatt hotels, one a Hyatt Regency and the other a Hyatt Place, representing a total of 554 new rooms.

Hyatt has also opted to transfer its headquarters for Europe, Africa, Middle East and Southwest Asia to The Circle; that headquarters will be set directly above the convention center. In addition to Hyatt, other corporate tenants include SAP Switzerland, which will have its Zurich headquarters in an approximately 48,400-square-foot space, as well as family-run hairdressing business DLUX HAIR, Valora Switzerland AG, Läderach (Switzerland) AG and CC Swiss AG.

Valora will offer a convenience concept under the “avec” brand, offering fresh and regional products, while CC Swiss AG will operate an outpatient cosmetic clinic under the CC Aesthetic brand. Läderach will sell fine Swiss chocolates.

The Circle will open in phases, with the first phase set for September 2020.
