Global travel management networks Hickory Global Partners and WIN Global Travel Network announced they have come together to create and jointly host Virtual ITMC 2020, a global symposium series celebrating independent TMCs (travel management companies). The event will be sponsored by Hilton and Sabre Hospitality Solutions. Paul Tilstone, managing partner of Festive Road, will moderate the two-part event on July 23 and 30.
The ITMC Summit touts itself as the only conference that caters to global independent TMCs, representing over $34 billion in business travel sales in 2019.
Due to the global COVID-19 (coronavirus) pandemic, Hickory Global Partners and WIN Global Travel Network had to postpone the physical event, ITMC Summit 2020, until 2021. However, the virtual event will cover insights into how the industry may evolve and what independent TMCs may need to consider when travel resumes.
The two sessions are titled: Ready for Growth – Empowering Independent TMCs with a Future Value Proposition and Freedom from Transactions – Supporting Stable Growth Through a Revisited TMC Business Model. The sessions will cover areas such as opportunities to adapt, close customer relationships, total trip management, the needs of the buyer and traveler, creative business models and the supplier chain relationship.
Both sessions are open for TMCs, corporate buyers and corporate travel departments, with an agenda suitable for all sectors of the travel ecosystem.
