Teneo Hospitality Group, a global group sales organization representing over 350 independent and small branded hotels, resorts and destination management companies to the MICE market, has expanded its presence on the West Coast with the appointment of Jon Clark as director of sales. He joins Teneo’s Western regional team and will be primarily responsible for clients in the Seattle and San Francisco markets. He will be based in Snoqualmie, Washington, near Seattle.
Most recently, Clark was national sales assistant director at Disney Meetings & Events. In this role he was responsible for developing and managing client relationships for all industry organizations based in the Pacific Northwest, Mountain and Western Canada regions.
Clark began his hospitality career with Hilton Hotels. For nearly three decades, he served as Hilton’s director of worldwide sales and accounts, directing global sales from San Francisco and Seattle.
Throughout his career, Clark has been awarded numerous industry honors. These include Hilton’s Worldwide Salesperson of the Year, Business Travel Salesperson of the Year, National Salesperson of the Year, and Meeting Professionals International Supplier of the Year awards.
Jon Clark holds two Bachelor’s degrees from the University of North Texas: a Bachelor of Applied Science degree in Hotel Administration and a Bachelor’s degree in Business, Management. He is a member of the Direct Selling Association, the Professional Convention Management Association, and served as VP education for Meeting Professionals International (Washington State Chapter).
